En Masse are a classic example of why i'm not dating any more french boys. i'm sticking to italians. why? gli italiani lo fanno meglioo. i know nothing about them aside from the fact that they're cute, and their music and remixes are dark, dirty, and i fucking love it.

apparantly MIA was in new york last week. one of my friends claims to have drooled over her from the other end of the subway car she entered on bleecker street. this is neither here nor there, i'm mostly just jealous. i've heard some remixes of the hit "paper planes" so far, but of course any remix by DFA takes the fucking cake and a scoop of ice cream.

Dmitry Fyodorov was some famous russian athlete who had a tragic ice accident and disappeared for 30 years to be reincarnated into two faceless DJs. sounds like... kavinsky, right? i don't know much about these guys other than that their music is banging and will be probably be gracing a mixtape near you, considering the blog hype they've been receiving.

perhaps you've heard that chromeo are re-releasing "needy girl" with several different remixes. no no, this isn't 2006, it's 2008, three years after that single dropped. just when you thought you'd stop hearing it at *indie night*. the whole thing seems unnecessary to me, BUT there are two here that i wouldn't mind hearing dropped, especially the teenage bad girl remix. also, check out the datA remix, as he is one of my absolute favorites.
